Company Overview A dynamic and fast-growing organization located in the heart of Century City is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the company's day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance activities. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments. The ideal candidate is proactive, deadline-driven, and comfortable working with complex financial data.
Oversee and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany accounts.
Review and approve AP/AR transactions, expense reports, and credit card reconciliations to ensure proper coding and compliance with company policies.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial insights and variance analysis.
Assist with annual audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
Monitor and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and workflow consistency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including operations, HR, and finance-to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business initiatives.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for senior leadership as needed.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in corporate, entertainment, real estate, or professional services.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks Enterprise).
Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis tools.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
